“I was looking for a new beginning after many years of success and hitting a few obstacles. Broken, I was recommended to use Theresa for coaching to help guide me to a new light. Short story... Many lights began to shine after each session. I highly recommend her exquisite methods.”
— Desiree Kelleigh, Lifelong Overachiever
Theresa Marangas
I am an Executive Life Coach certified in Positive Psychology through Wholebeing Institute which is affiliated with Kripalu in Stockbridge, MA and the Marlene Meyerson JCC in New York City. My portfolio of coaching clients includes high achieving entrepreneurs and lifelong learners who wish to feel a deeper sense of wellbeing while navigating life’s challenges.
My extensive legal career has evolved from in-house counsel positions to an equity partnership in an international law firm that included the creation and management of a litigation team of sixteen to serving legal clients in my own law firm. I have vast experience representing businesses of various sizes including Fortune 500 companies, as well as professionals in the medical, insurance, accounting, architectural, and legal realms. Through the New York State Unified Court System I serve as a Mental Health Guardian, Supplemental Needs Trustee, Counsel to Guardian, Guardian Ad Litem for Minors, Attorney for Alleged Incapacitated Person and Court Evaluator.
My latest transition into the trust and estate realm with the Meier Law Firm PLLC, a boutique woman owned law firm along with opening my own coaching and retreat business, Wisdom of Wellness LLC has been deeply rewarding. In 2019, I designed and led my first Soul Centered Summit retreat for 22 women at the Garnet Hill Lodge in the Adirondack Mountains.
I have been a longstanding advocate and educator on attorney wellbeing and was recruited by the New York State Bar Association for their Attorney Wellbeing Task Force. Serving legal and coaching clients with grace, determination, and vision is my forte.
As a member of the Women Presidents’ Organization (a mentoring group for women who lead multi-million-dollar companies), my business acumen flourished. During my tenure with the WPO, I developed and led a weekly mastermind group for women business owners.
I created a fundraiser during the pandemic for YWCA-GCR entitled “Ride Against Racism”. This inaugural one-day bike ride raised awareness, promoted healthy habits and garnered significant financial support for the YWCA-GCR, a women and children’s shelter and resource center.
I embrace life as a single mother of three gloriously interesting adult children and two bubbly granddaughters; along with a rescue furball named McKee. Exploring outdoor adventures and staying active by biking, walking, skiing, and hiking preferably with family and friends keeps me grounded mentally and physically.
How Wisdom of Wellness Came to Be
In 2018, I created and led my first women's retreat entitled "Soul Centered Summit" for 22 women over the course of a weekend in the Adirondacks. My second retreat was organized under my new business, Wisdom of Wellness LLC for May of 2020. It was cancelled however due to the pandemic. I am excited to offer this retreat in October of this year, and am especially looking forward to a very lively and conversational roundtable on social justice.
